I would highly consider Flail over one of the penetrating twins. Faster adrenaline gain and 50% more damage output.

hm good idea....
With flail it would be even easier to interupt ^^
Btw. If you're playing w/d it's a nice thing to give the bonder Live Vicariously for you.

edit: ok i've tested it with flail. it works great

Live Vicariously returns health to the caster of the enchantment.

Rastigan died because I made a little noob mistake, and aggroed that 2nd group . Anyway, this way is very easy. Outdamaging monks is no problem, and when you have ss+empathy on you quickly use pious rest. like racthoh said. Gonna try again next time and see how I hold it out against skeletals and their sv's...

(note, i only went with 15 in hammer because too lazy to buy a new +1 hammer)

That looks nice, and probably easier to manage monks. I do, however, still prefer going Dervish. The whole "hit 3 targets at once" just sounds better in my ears. And even dual monk groups are no problem, just have to wear them down.

With the dervish build Koning posted I managed to even outdamage the group with 2 monks and 1 mesmer in it. I even just had to hit the mesmer and 1 monk at the same time to wear them down.

how about doing this whit elementist, assa, or rit
whit ele you can go sliver armor+stoneflesh(wont need other enchants, barrier+bond+stoneflesh goes a lonnnnnnnnnnng way)
assa can take locusts furry(dual strike +50%= MASS heath gain, and ofcource, death blossom rocks(blossom+mobius??))
rit can take weapon spells(rt/w spliter+cyclone axe=eeww...)

thoughts?

ok i've tried that hammer build and it works better...
But i would propose to change skill 4 (i've forgotten the name :P ) against power attack.... almost same dmg but only 3 secs recast (fast than your adrenalin gain)

Hmm, with balthazar spirit on you and the bonder having 11 in smiting and you in flail your adrenaline recharges quit fast. But it's ofcourse almost the same damage (34 against 36). Outdamaging 2 monks is easy, but I was thinking if I wanna fight groups with 2 mesmers (skeletals and shadows around the forge) I really need 2 cover enchants, otherwise they totally rend you down. Mystic regen is ofcourse the first, and for the second mystic vigor is a good choice,(ok it's mytism, but you still get 1 hp per enchant, thats about 7 hp per hit, and if you add a vampiric hammer mod, you get 12 hp per hit so you can still fight trough ss+empathy) or vital boon is good.
(will try soon )

Oh, and doing this with your ele is very possible. a guildie is fire ele, and 2 mans alot with his bonder (don't know if he can come far though). His elite is healing hands (that's why I dont wanna recreate his build ) and the other skill (cover) is healing breeze( ), and he uses the deadly meteor shower/bed of coals/lava font etc combo.

I just like my warrior more

Ok Just tried this but hmm...

First thing of note is that Talky couldnt maitain more than 4 enchantments on me.
Anyone know why?

So i took the noob dunkoro too & got them to cats the 7 enchantments between them.

Also, just tried the Djinns & their flames toasted my ass - bonds made a little difference but not loads, they just prolonged my toastiness :P

Soooo....any tips please?

Thanks in advance

ya, umm.. i saw this and it looked great. went to try it in the hidden city vs. the elementals, and i got toasted all 3 tries on 1st group. I'm using the same skill/att setup as your 1st post, Rachtoh, but for some reason... i must be doing something wrong.

Mystic Regeneration.

I vouch for the Mighty Blow/Power Attack swap too - seemed to work a lot better.

On a side note, how does one keep Rastigan alive during that last fight for the first quest? Can't do it to save myself

you have to block the door and keep distance to rastigan or he'll die from mark pf pain. Kill vogris atl last. He'll try to run into the tower after he's dead and will be killed from the abyssals.
so i've killed the abyssals first.
I've tried the W/D mit 2 cover enchantments and it works good except of the groups with 2 skeletton monks... thy both ran anway from me :X
How to managa them?
btw: if you watch out for the ranger spirits you can even farm the forest

hehe that's what I did...Banshee's are pussy's btw, but drop nice stuff: http://members.home.nl/gjdekoning/banshee.jpg

The pious rest. for mystic vigor swap worked better for me, the extra cover enchant helped me getting down the ether/icehand group very easy. (8 from vigor+5 hp from vampiric lets you also fight trough ss+empathy). gonna try powerattack tomorrow. The berserker/bond groups are indeed a pain in the ass. I managed to bring 1 group down after I bodyblocked 1 bond and first got 1 berserker to half hp, but it's not worth the time cause it took very long. the weakness and wildblow from berserkers cuts your dmg output too hard...

Armour, weapon, and shield? Dreadnaught's, a +5 defense on your weapon, and either -2 in stance or +10 vs. fire on your shield will go a long way.
